Privacy Policy

If you allow analytics and tap a usefulness thumb, AI4E saves the page or tool identifier, your yes/no vote, a random submission identifier and its date. A daily keyed hash of your network address limits repeated submissions; the raw address, your request, AI output and account identity are not saved with the vote. A random identifier in this browser tab prevents duplicate submissions on retry. Admin votes are excluded. These responses help improve the site and appear as counts in the private admin area; they are not independent quality assessments. With analytics off, the feedback is not sent.

AI4E is owned and operated by Joakim Aunvik, Norway, which acts as the data controller for the personal information described below. Privacy questions can be sent through our contact page.

When you create an account, we process your email address and authentication information. We store recipe bookmarks and your saved generated recipes in your private account so they can sync across devices. Starter-guide, contact, and recipe issue forms store the information you submit. Payment services are currently on hold; if activated later, the checkout provider will handle payment and billing details under its own privacy policy.

Guest generated recipes, generator usage counts, a random browser identifier, theme preferences, installation state, and guest bookmarks may be stored in your browser. When signed in, generated recipes are stored privately in your account and protected by owner-only access rules. AI4E sends the task you enter to its AI processing provider to create the requested recipe. Do not submit secrets, account numbers, health identifiers, or confidential personal data.

Clear generated recipe data

Guests (not signed in): AI4E does not store your request or answers on its servers. They stay in the open page while you work and are cleared when you leave or start again. If you sign in mid-task (for example to use deep reasoning), your typed request is held temporarily in this browser tab so it is not lost. If you choose "Save to Playbook (free account)", the clarified request is held in this browser tab until you finish creating your account, then saved to that account; if you close the tab first, it is discarded.

Members (signed in): nothing is saved automatically. A clarified request is stored only when you press "Save to Playbook". It is then kept privately in your account (the original request and the clarified version, with the date), visible only to you, until you delete it. Your answers to the clarifying questions are not saved.

Deleting: open My Playbook, choose the Clarified requests tab and press Remove on any request. Deletion is permanent. Deleting your account removes all saved requests.

In every case, the text is sent to our AI processing provider to build the clearer request; we cannot verify how long that provider retains it, so leave out confidential or sensitive details. For abuse prevention we store only a count of requests together with a one-way hash of the network address, never the text itself. Analytics receives no request or answer text.

Members can save recipe bookmarks, their usual answers for a recipe ("Save as my defaults"), private notes, generated recipes and clarified requests. Each is saved only when you choose to save it (generated recipes are saved automatically while signed in), is visible only to you, and can be deleted in My Playbook: remove a bookmark, clear answers and notes in "Answers & note", remove a generated recipe from History, or remove a clarified request.

If you press "Track this task", this browser stores one active task under the key ai4e-current-task: its title, where it started (a recipe or Before You Ask), the recipe link, the exact populated prompt and its assistant-launch options, the start date, any answer you paste and save (up to 20,000 characters), and the date you marked it complete. It is never sent to AI4E or to analytics, and it stays until you press "Stop tracking", start a different task, or clear this site's data in your browser. Opening an AI assistant uses that provider's app with the saved prompt. Signing in does not upload the task; it remains in this browser only.

We use information to perform our contract with you (accounts and bookmark syncing), based on legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service reliability and improvement), and with your consent to send the requested starter guide. Every app email includes an unsubscribe link.

These service providers process limited information on our behalf:

• Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery): every page request passes through Cloudflare's global network, including your network address and browser details, so pages can be delivered and protected from abuse.
• Supabase (database and sign-in): stores your account email, sign-in data, bookmarks, saved generated recipes and form submissions.
• Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics: Tag Manager loads the analytics script; Analytics receives page paths, device and approximate location data and anonymous usage events. Analytics and its cookies load only after you choose Accept, never for advertising; your choice is remembered in this browser, and you can change it any time via “Cookies” at the bottom of every page. It does not receive search queries, generated-recipe content or Before You Ask text.
• Google (Gemini) and OpenAI (AI model providers): the text you enter in the recipe generator is sent to Google; text in Before You Ask is sent to OpenAI. They receive only that text, to produce the answer.
• Email delivery service: sends sign-in, starter-guide and contact emails and receives the email address and message content needed to send them.

We have not independently verified how long each provider keeps logs of this data, so do not submit confidential information. We may also involve professional advisers or share information with authorities where required by law.

Account and bookmark data is kept while your account is active. Form submissions are kept as long as needed to respond and for record-keeping, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect personal information.

You can use most recipes without an account, clear local browser data, unsubscribe from emails, or ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding your personal information, and you can withdraw consent at any time. We respond to requests within one month. Depending on where you live, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
